A Different Christmas Poem The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light, I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight. My wife was asleep, her head on my chest, My daughter beside me, angelic in rest. Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white, Transforming the yard to a winter delight. The sparkling lights in the tree I believe, Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve . My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep, Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep. In perfect contentment, or so it would seem, So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream. The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near, But I op...

We had a real fun Thanksgiving Dinner with our friends tis year. We were all assigned to bring food. I had Jello salad (pictured below) and stuffing. My Jello took 48 hours to make and 9 pouches of mix. There is also a tone of fruit inside. The food was delicious and the Anderson family did a great job of decorating and setting a cute table for the kids. Here are a few pictures of our friends from that night

This was a tone of fun! We had the Greenfields watch Alana for us so that we could have our first date night since she was born. We sat in the nose bleed section but it was totally worth it. "I want to ride his hot tamale train" And the whole time, the guy that was sitting with them was agreeing saying... "UUUUMMMmmmHuuummmm" These three people had me laughing so hard that I felt I needed to go pay the ticket counter more for my ticket. I felt like I was getting a double feature. Oh. And I failed to mention the old lady setting next to me. She was something else. Every ...

Wed Nov 14, 11:04 PM ET SYDNEY (AFP) - Santas in Australia's largest city have been told not to use Father Christmas's traditional "ho ho ho" greeting because it may be offensive to women, it was reported Thursday. Sydney's Santa Clauses have instead been instructed to say "ha ha ha" instead, the Daily Telegraph reported. One disgruntled Santa told the newspaper a recruitment firm warned him not to use "ho ho ho" because it could frighten children and was too close to "ho", a US slang term for prostitute. "Gimme a break," said Julie Gale, who runs the campaign against sexualising children called Kids Free 2B Kids. "We are talking about little kids who do not understand that "ho, ho, ho" has any other connotation and nor should they," she told the Telegraph. "Le...

I just got my last birthday present in the mail. Two tickets to the "So You Think You Can Dance" Tour. They are coming to Houston on the 16th of November. Chris and I watched the last season almost religiously. Each episode was Tivoed and watched several times over. We had our favorites and lucky for us we will be seeing them live. Whooo Hoooo!
