Christmas 2008

Image
Christmas was spent at home again this year. Christmas Eve was spent at a Church pot luck and "white elephant gift exchange". We had a blast taking and giving. After all the Shenanigans at the church we came home to unwrap the girls' one present for the night. The usual PJ's. Alana and I then sprinkled "Rudolph's Spares" on the front lawn so that Santa could find our house. The girls quickly went to bed so they could dream about sugar plum fairies. Last Christmas Santa brought this cool light board for Alana along with a note. This year we thought we would start a new tradition of leaving a note fore Santa on it along with the traditional cookies, milk and carrots. I let Alana pick out the cookies this year. Yes, that's Circus animals... How did she know that was Santa's Favorite? No, I didn't convince her to get them. LOL. Wow, they only left crumbs! Here is the note he left us. ( I know its hard to read.) I woke up at about 7am sitting ...

Post over load!

Sorry, but I'm still trying to catch up from all the craziness that we have going on around here. I've been working and trying to clean up house. I usually do two deep cleanings of my house a year Base boards, grout etc.) but our dear friend IKE through us all off for the remainder of the year. I'm now getting things back in order and starting to feel a bit of routine again. Alana is getting very excited about Christmas. The packages are coming everyday and she is seeing more and more presents under the tree. Even Ariana has been caught with a present in her hand. Sunday we took the girls out to deliver a few Christmas cards and candy cane hearts we made for her girlfriends. We thought it would be a good time to check out the Christmas lights as well. We quickly found that other people are not feeling the Christmas Spirit just as we haven't. There are not many houses with lights.. including us. So out of character. I know. So starting after the new year, I...

Day 4 Chris and Linda in the Tiger Shrine. I loved the walls in this place. They are all hand painted and depict tigers, hunting and jungle. Prayer Flags Alana's hand in a tiger's paw print. This Ivy Lady was walking around in a mystical kind of way. Some people were frightened when they saw her move because they thought she was a bush. It was pretty comedic if you ask me. This ape was so cute. I took another picture of him as he walked away but I would like to keep my blog at very least PG13. The tree of life. Check out those carvings. I have grown to love street performers. This group was hysterical! They are a acrobatic team that balances on things, juggles and what not. This guy is standing on empty pain cans that are on their sides. My favorite part of the day was riding Expedition Everest, It is by far my all time favorite ride!

Disney Hollywood Studios!

Day three. Chris was flying with excitement when he saw this Star Wars prop! Can you tell who liked Mickey and who didn't? Barrel of monkeys just for you Christopher. We were thinking about you when we saw these. I remember the first time we went to MGM studios and you went nuts. So I took this picture knowing that you are probably missing all your monkey stuff. This was a fun car stunt show. Unbelievable work! Ok, this sign makes me smile. I love you Joe and Pauline! The Rockin' Roller Coaster is one of my favorite rides. Its right up there with the Incredible Hulk and Expedition Everest. Chris and Linda posing with frosty. I loved these bikes! This street was so ugly during the day. But My-o-my was it beautiful at night. A night they lite the street and have them dancing to the music. Snow feel here just like it did in the Magic Kingdom. Ariana fancied this one. Just the right kind of entertainment for a 9month old.

We did Magic Kingdom days 2 and 6. Alana and Ariana loved riding the boat into the park! Alana loved the attention she received for dressing up like Cinderella. When you walk in to the park and the attendants see you wearing a princess dress they first say "Welcome Princess" Then throw Mickey Mouse confetti all over you. I still have mickey ears all over the stroller. On several occasions cast members stopped in their tracks , bowed and said hello to the princess. She got used to it real quick! As a matter of fact... a little too used to it because the next day she wore normal clothes and she felt very left out. Next time I'll pack nothing but princess cloths. (Holding on for dear life!) "Oh Buzz, Why do you have to be so tall? Why cant you be toy sized so Alana won't be scared?" "And you Stitch, Well you came right after Buzz so you're screwed!" Chris and Linda posing with Stitch. What a life saver. After Buzz and Stitch Alana was in a so...
